What image is the background of your phone?
It is actually the wallpaper in a very old house in Norway. When I went to the ASME Turbo Expo, we toured Norsk Folkemuseum. It was beautiful and I really liked the wallpaper in one of the houses so I used that as my background.
Is there anything interesting we should know about you?
My family and I love to go camping. We own an RV and once a year we go to Garner State park. I also really like to lake surf behind a ballasted boat. I’ve been doing it for about 7 years but I haven’t gotten the chance to do it in a while.
What are your favorite movies or TV shows?
I like Game of Thrones, Bob’s Burgers and Friends is always a good show. For movies I like the Count of Monte Cristo and any horror movie. I watch them all no matter how bad.
What is a brief explanation of what you do here?
I help advisory committees get programs together for the Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia and the Asia Turbomachinery & Pump Symposium. I have also been working on building the registration system for our events.
What is your favorite part of working here?
The people that I work with. Show is a big motivation for my job; I look forward to it every year. The environment at show is where I thrive. It gives me a chance to see people I don’t see throughout the year.
Have there been any moments working here that stick out to you?
Probably working the registration counters at show. I get to match names with faces of people I’ve been emailing with all year. I get to see all the year’s hard work come to fruition and that’s the best part.
When people think of you professionally, what do you want them to think about?
I want people to think that I am kind and efficient. And quick to solve a problem when there is one.
