What image is the background of your phone?
My newest granddaughter. I have 3 kids and 3 grandchildren.
How did you hear about this job?
One of my former co-workers at another job started working here. At the time she only had student workers with her and she wanted a full time employee. She asked me if I would be interested in working here and at the time I was a stay at home mom and all of my kids were in school so I figured why not. Essentially she had the position created for me.
Is there anything interesting we should know about you?
I like cake decorating. I’ve taken some classes for it and I find it very fun and relaxing.
What are your favorite movies or TV shows?
I don’t really watch TV, when I do it’s older movies or TV shows. I prefer to read.
What is a brief explanation of what you do here?
So I manage the Turbomachinery Research Consortium. I also handle the extended short courses for show. So any short course that is more than one day I handle. At TPS I’m responsible for the free pass registration.
What is your favorite part of working here?
I think working here is great because it allows me the opportunity to be a part of an organization whose mission is to provide top of the line research and continuing education to the industry through our TPS Symposia, Turbomachinery Research Consortium and Extended short courses.
When people think of you professionally, what do you want them to think about?
I would hope that people see me as proficient in whatever field that I work within and that I am looked upon as a valuable resource to reach out to for any assistance that I may be able to provide.
