WHAT TO EXPECT: Innovation has always played a critical role in the oil field, both in conventional and unconventional drilling. With low commodity prices, technical solutions have taken on even more importance, as companies look for new ways to drill and produce more efficiently and effectively. Advances in electrical submersible pumps, gas lift, water injection and carbon dioxide recovery and compression, to name a few, are fueling operational excellence across the industry. The result: reduced development cost, OPEX, and increased production.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Jody Elliott is President of Oxy Oil & Gas – Domestic, a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum Corporation, an international oil and gas exploration and production company, and one of the largest oil and gas companies in the U.S., based on equity market capitalization.
Mr. Elliott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
