Women of TPS Luncheon

For whom?
All TPS attendees. Registration is required. Add on to any registration option.
The Women of TPS luncheon is a forum for women of TPS to share experiences and challenges in the industry. It is also an avenue in which those experiences and challenges can be heard and understood by others, including upper management.
Both women and men are encouraged to attend. The luncheon is open to all individuals affiliated with the symposium, from technical engineers, to sales and marketing staff, to administrative professionals.

WHO: Dr. Marcia Cooper and Natalie Smith
Dr. Marcia Cooper is and Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering, and Affiliated Faculty, Materials Science & Engineering at the Turbomachinery Laboratory at Texas A&M University.
Natalie Smith, Ph.D., is a Group Leader in the Machinery Department at SwRI with 14-years of experience in turbomachinery. Her research experience includes aerodynamic design and testing of turbomachinery and advanced system analysis for programs related to power generation, aviation, oil & gas and energy storage. She is a demonstrated leader in long duration energy storage having led the design and operation of first-of-kind laboratory-scale facilities. She manages a group focused on aero-thermal-fluid, system development, and technoeconomic analysis for advanced power systems, long duration energy storage, and industrial decarbonization. Dr. Smith earned a Ph.D. and M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Purdue University where she focused on axial compressor aerodynamics of aviation engines.

Innovation Presents, formerly Turbo Stage, is a platform in the front corner of the exhibit hall where exhibiting companies provide 20-minute commercial presentations. All TPS exhibit hall visitors are invited to attend the presentations.

The Turbomachinery Laboratory at Texas A&M, TPS organizer, hosts two dinners during the symposia on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Lab Tour

You know TPS is hosted by the Turbomachinery Lab, but what do you know about the lab itself? Where is it located? How is it equipped? What research projects are in progress? Take a tour of the Lab at Texas A&M University in College Station on the Thursday afternoon following TPS. Add the tour on to any registration option. Please note that space is limited. For $50 Lunch and transportation are provided. All self-driven lab tour registrations are $25.
