Contribute to TPS 2025: Industry Experts Invited to Answer the Call for Papers

September 13, 2024 By TPS

The Turbomachinery Laboratory at Texas A&M University, host of the Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia (TPS), has confirmed dates for its 2025 event. The Turbomachinery Laboratory invites contributions to the technical program from both new and experienced engineers.

TPS offers an ideal training and networking opportunity for professionals in both pump and turbomachinery industries. The 2025 event is scheduled for September 16-18 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Full-day short courses will be held in conjunction with the event on September 15.

TPS has established itself as a cornerstone event in the industry, with its continued growth and success attesting to its significance. The symposia features an expansive international exhibition alongside a carefully crafted technical program. An advisory committee of distinguished industry experts selects and peer-reviews the program’s content.

Industry academics and professionals are invited to submit one- to three-page abstracts for lectures, tutorials, case studies, and short courses. These will be presented at TPS and published in its Proceedings. Abstracts are due by October 23, 2024 at https://tps.tamu.edu/program/submissions/. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: maintenance, reliability, troubleshooting and instruction on emerging designs, technology, and best practices that include case studies with real-world relevance on problems-solved and lessons-learned.

TPS Chairman Dag Calafell emphasizes the value of participation for new authors. Highlighting the professional growth opportunities and industry recognition that come with presenting at the symposium, Calafell states, “Publishing at TPS demonstrates an important contribution that benefits your company and enhances your skills. It also signals that you’ve applied or created knowledge and effectively shared it with irrefutable results.”

Papers should engage end-users and avoid commercialism. Authors must not reference specific products, trade names, or manufacturers. Previously published works are ineligible. Submissions should focus on practical, field-tested information rather than theoretical concepts. For submission guidelines and to submit an abstract, visit https://tps.tamu.edu/program/authors-presenters/.
